Community involvement is really important. As an office we try at least once or twice a year to have days that are just about the community. We've had a day around sometime around September 11th where we have either police officers or military come into the office and they get their care for free, which it's really important to us to make sure that we can not just give them something free but make them feel great while they're here. They've done great things for us, so that's one thing that we try to do.
We've also in the past had Dentistry From The Heart, where patients can show up and we either do extractions or fillings or whatever they're needing for that day, and trying to take really great care of them too.
Last year we were able to volunteer at the homeless shelter. We were able to donate clothes and donate some shoes and various things and go over there and deliver that to the community, which was really great just to get out of the office too and be able to be among more people.
If community involvement in Chattanooga is important to you, chances are you’d like to visit a dentist who also values service to the community. Our dentists love serving others by offering free dental care to those in need. They are especially proud of their involvement in:
- Dentistry From The Heart, an organization that provides free dental care to those who cannot afford it.
- Freedom Day USA, an annual effort that provides free dental services to members of our military, their families, and veterans. Dr. Robert Gallien is a director for the state of Tennessee’s event. In five years, this event has provided more than $100,000 worth of free dentistry.
